Sarah Willis is an actor and playwright based in New York City. Recent theater work includes performing in Sasquatch Rituals (The Kitchen, 2018), 12 SHOUTS TO THE TEN FORGOTTEN HEAVENS (Whitney Museum of American Art, 2016-2018), Elevator Repair Service Theater Company's Fondly, Collette Richland (New York Theatre Workshop, 2015), Let Us Now Praise Susan Sontag (Abrons Arts Center, 2015), and Playground by Derek Spaldo (The Brick, 2014). Sarah's first play, VULTURES, premiered at Dixon Place in 2014.
Recent film work includes her roles in CRISIS, written and directed by James Benson, which won best short at the Eastern Oregon Film Festival in 2023, Sarah’s Reel, conceived and produced by James Benson & Sarah Willis, SPIRIT #1, written and directed by Brett Potter, and JACQUELINE (ARGENTINE), written and directed by Bernardo Britto, which premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2016 and was released in October 2016.
Sarah received a BA in Theater from Eugene Lang College, The New School for Liberal Arts. She was born and raised in Ridgewood, NJ and currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.
